Stay motivated.

Don’t be scared!

Be tall amongst the trees.

Be firm and spread your arms like the branches.

I Don’t Believe In X-MAS, I Believe In Christmas!

YES!!!!!!!! There is a difference! A huge difference.

I would be honored to define it for you.

X-MAS is a period of time created by retailers to boost sales around the Christmas Holidays. It is also a word to involve non-believers  who don’t believe in Christmas during this spiritual holiday, to get their consumerism as well. It’s all about money

CHRISTMAS is a birthday celebration and Holiday for believers in Jesus Christ.

Businesses have contributed in turning the meaning of Christmas all about money, selling products, moving units to get that top dollar and they have done a great job fooling so many people, even believers in this infiltrated  and substitution term, “X-Mas.”

The word Christmas derived from somewhere, it just wasn’t made up. There is a story behind it. Christmas is way bigger than some big sale at Macy’s, Toys R’Us and Walmart. This is about the birth of Jesus Christ. The greatest gift ever given to mankind. Henceforth, “giving”, not of money and sells and discounts, but salvation and life. It is also about being thankful for love, family, health, strength and all of the little things that people often take for granted.

Wikipedia defines X-Mas as a common abbreviation of Christmas. Then it goes into breaking down the origins and languages from which it came from. Then it goes on to say, verbatim:

“There is a common misconception that the word Xmas stems from a secular attempt to remove the religious tradition from Christmas[3] by taking the “Christ” out of “Christmas”.”

I find this to be quite funny. Now why would they feel the need to put that down. People this is not a misconception. We as believers, should have the decency to honor God and His son, Jesus Christ to say, write and type the true name of this grand Holiday and Birthday Celebration.

Wikipedia’s statement is another way to cover up and justify themselves in telling people this garbage. They quoted this because they know that “X-Mas” is an attempt to remove the spiritual purpose and meaning from Christmas, it had to be addressed. And I’m willing to bet that an atheist or non-believer wrote that statement.

“X-Mas” should definitely be included in High School and College marketing and business books, because that is all it is, a marketing business and promotional stunt and tool.

I put it on the level of X-Men. As much as I like the comics and the animation series, this is what the meaning of Christmas has been diminished to. As far as honor. Just like X-Men is fiction and it doesn’t exist, so is X-Mas. That crap was clean made up. The same goes for Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny. Come on believers, we are better than that.

Everything doesn’t have to be entertainment. There is a time to play and a time not to. Kids will be happier if you just tell them the truth. Like I said, Christmas is way bigger and better and stronger than this so-called term, “X-Mas”

I hear people on Facebook ask often, “Why did they take Prayer out of school?” You know what, prayer wasn’t taken out of school. Some person who had the power, money, position and big time degree said to take it out and everyone followed pursuit. Just because someone says it, it doesn’t mean you have to put action behind it. When I was in school I still prayed. I prayed in my head, much like how the teacher asks you to read in your head not out loud. WE CAN STILL PRAY IN SCHOOL!!!!!

Now it has transcended onto Christmas. Shall I demonstrate, “Why did they take Christ out of Christmas?” You know what, Christ wasn’t taken out of Christmas. Some non-believer who had the power, money, position and big time degree said to take it out and call it “X-Mas” to include non-believers and everyone including believers followed pursuit. They trained everybody and everyone caught on to the concept. It was accepted!

I don’t believe in X-Mas, I believe in Christmas.

People have the right to know the truth. Don’t be fooled by a political term, a marketing term, a retailers term, a business term. That is all “X-Mas” is. Christmas should be honored better than that. Call me by my real name not a fake name. Call it what it is, anything else is disrespectful.

So the word, “Christmas” is long. I just kind of feel since people have the time to write out curse words, derogatory names and any other word we use out of the dictionary, why can’t we do that for “Christmas”, especially since that word, the Holiday does have so much more meaning than most words people use on a regular! Something to think about.

I love Christmas and I understand the meaning of it and the History of it. I’m very passionate about this Holiday and I can see how the spirit of Christmas has just changed over the years and I know that there are many of you who see it or have seen it too. Seeds can be planted in many ways even within a name and how people view these Holidays. Remember what Christmas is about. It is not in the Mall, stores and shops. It is in our hearts, spirit and our lives.

I don’t believe in X-Mas. I don’t believe in it not one bit. I believe in Christmas! I hope each of you have a beautiful, Blessed & safe Christmas! Happy Holidays to you, you and you! #SMILE!

Don’t Wanna Be Here….

Because I actually want to be somewhere else. somewhere better and greater than where I am now.

I want to go to my next plateau. I want to go to the next level. I can’t stay in one spot or a scene for too long. It’s torture and a constant reminder of where you currently are all the time.

I gotta have movement. Movement with purpose. Movement towards the light at the end of the tunnel

Stagnant is a flow I hate. Digression is unacceptable. backwards doesn’t make sense. You see, being somewhere is an idea that becomes a reality.

Let me say it again, being somewhere, the somewhere that I’m talking about is an idea that becomes a reality.

Moving forward and pressing on, much like President Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign. This is the only way to go.

That’s where all the positive energy lies.
I said I don’t want to be here. This has nothing to do with a city or a state, a country or fancy upscale place, a specific location. This my friend, is all about a vision, a goal, a dream, an idea, the bigger picture. so the next question is where do I want to be?

I want to be where I become the successor. I want to be engulfed around it 24-7. I dont want to be rich, i desire to be wealthy in many areas, not just career wise. I not only want to accomplish, but be the things I dream of during the day and all night. The idea never eludes me. The idea exists to reiterate to me where I wanna be. Instilled in my heart, it gives me the ammunition of motivation to keep going. To keep striving for the “HERE” of my deepest desires.

As an entrepreneur, I’ve already experienced the beauty of failing and the learning from mistakes, now, comes all the good things, the changes for the better. The, “you have gone through and you are coming out victoriously.”

Where I want to be is a multitude of beautiful concepts. It is an idea, it is a vision and some people would not be able to comprehend that. it’s just too big.

Don’t look at it in a negative way because the positivity that comes afterwards is a sight and atmosphere like none other

I’m On My Team

It is only the strong survive, right?

If I’m not on my own team, then who is? I have dreams and goals just like the next person.

I’m trying to make it. I’m trying to get to where I’m going. I’m trying to reach my destination. I’m trying to achieve success, just like you.

Just like you’re on your team, I’m on my team. Yes, we may be direct competitors in our desires and what we crave for in our hearts, but their can still be a mutual respect.

This thing right here has nothing to do with ego or selfishness. I mean isn’t it fair to say that an individual has to make some type of living. An individual has to have some type of purpose in life, a sense of accomplishment. Why else would we live? Success lies at the end of the tunnel with everybody. The success objectives is the only thing that differentiates us. We are individual teams with individual team goals.

Whether the competition is direct or indirect we can agree that an individual team is in full support of what he or she does.

Okay, so we compete over attention, money, job security, business, whose the best, the big stage, even over people. Competition will always be stiff, but I have my competitive edge. I know what my niche is. I know who my target market is. I know what route and way I want to go to get it.

It is to each’s own. We may be on separate teams, but we can still respect each others hustle and grind. I’ve made up in my mind that I’m going to respect what you do, but will you do the same towards me? I’m confident with my plight and journey, my skills and my grind. There is no need for me to disrespect or hate on someone else’s team. You’re on your team and I’m on my team.

I’m not trying to kill yo flow. I don’t desire to. I channel my energies on what I’m trying to accomplish in life. Causing chaos on your squad or knocking you off course provides me with no satisfaction. I don’t have time for it.

Even in joint ventures and/or particular projects. Those are short-term goals where 2 individuals bring there skills together for a shared goal. It is a bind, an agreement, but with the notion that each individual team gets something out of it.

It amazes me to see so many people who are on their own team think that nobody else is on their own team, that they are the only team on the planet that is trying to do something. And they don’t care what you are trying to accomplish. What you’re doing doesn’t support their cause or goals. So they disrespect you, downplay what you do, ignore you or you get that special shady-ness treatment. Gotta love the shady-ness!!!!!

So, I’m putting my feelings out there. And making it known…

I’m on my team. I’m happy for you on what you’re doing. If I’m vibing, I’ll support, but don’t get it twisted. I’m trying to do something GREAT in my life too. I’m trying to make something BIG happen so that my kids can have opportunities that I didn’t have, too. I want doors to open up for me, just like you want doors to open up for you.

I want support for what I do, just like you do. With that said, I have much respect for those that are making something out of themselves. Don’t come to me the wrong way though. Don’t downplay or play that power struck game with me. I’m not going to do that to you. So I don’t expect it to be done to me.

I’m on my team too. I’m always on my team. Being on my team lets me know that at least one person on this planet cares about what I do and where I’m trying to go! I love who I am and I love what I do.

My Tag & Signature, “LeXXah Drew It”

20121217-151052.jpg

Because I did it.
I Drew it.
Did you know that a canvas can be anything. A canvas can be the ground, the air, a stool, a computer screen, a sheet of paper, a piece of wood, a stellar music track, the mic, a wall, you get the point.

I draw on these canvases all the time.

My Mother & my Father taught me at a young age that anytime I do something, a task, an assignment, a project or whatever it may be, that when I’m finished, people should view my work as the best, high quality, distinguished, astronomical and prestigious, why? Because my name is on it. My signature is on that project and on the track. People will know the worth and value of my work and when they ask who did it? The word on the street will be…

LeXXah Drew It!

I take pride in anything and everything I do. I want people to know what I do and what I did. I want people to say, “Man, that song was all that, it gave me goosebumps or that song is HOT! I want to hear more of her, where can I go to check her out!”

I want people to say, “Man, that art piece was off the chain who did it?”

LeXXah Drew It!

“Man, that blog was beautiful and so was that poem, who wrote that?”

LeXXah Drew It!

You should think of my tag and signature not so much as a first and last name, but moreso as a phrase because really that’s what it is.

Even without the “It” at the end, “LeXXah Drew” is still a phrase. The cool thing about it is I use a whole lot of capital letters. What can I say, I love breaking the rules, breaking the norms and being different.

Attention to detail is huge for me. It’s something that separates the professionals from the amateurs. Even with something little as a phrase.

I am a Multi Artist at a very high level. And when people hear me, see me, hear my work, see my work, read my writings, my blogs, watch my videos etc. all will know LeXXah Drew It!

Yea, my phrase is past tense, but that just means I’m working on yet another stellar joint, record, drawing. I’m about that life, all studio flows. Didn’t you get the memo, there’s not just one studio flow, but many.

This is my tag and this is my signature. Like it or not,

-LeXXah Drew It-
