So, Whose Got Yo Back!?

Well other than God and Jesus, I’d like to think, loved ones.

But its not like that for everyone.

When we sit and think about who really has our back, some people say they Momma, they Daddy, they sister, they brother, the god parent, they Auntie, they Uncle, you get the picture.

But nowadays its really hard to really say who has your back until you really go through something that brings you to your lowest point in life.

Theoretically, blood is suppose to always have your back, but we have all seen that this in most cases is NOT true. Sometimes your blood will be the first if not the second to turn their back on you when you hit that major pickle and sometimes the minor ones too. It just all depends.

Everyone would like to believe that blood has your back. But really its like tossing up a coin and hoping that they will be there for you. Nothing is for certain these days. Its the hard truth of life.

People talk about it all the time, mention it on twitter, comment on it on facebook and post pics on Instagram that “I am not perfect,” “I fail daily,” We as people and human beings know this, but still, with that knowledge, people often fall to the forgetfulness of that truth when someone gets into trouble or is going through really tough times.

People begin to condemn and throw stones, talk bad about that person instead of uplifting that person through the known and unknown trial. People make it a point to just make a man feel lower than what his or her predicament already has him or her in. Its really sad when you think about it.

And then those same people want to come back with that same truth of, “I am not perfect,” “I fail daily.” Talk about contradicting. I see it all the time. So, I know someone else does too.

Knowing who really has your back though is important. There are signs that can let you know, such as the minor signs. You gotta know who really supports you when it is all said and done. At some point in our lives we all have some type of situation where we need help or depend on someone to come through.

Don’t deny this. Think very hard before you disagree with that statement. I’d like to think that those who are reading this now, you were once a baby!!!!!!

Listen to the signs, pay attention to your surroundings. Their are clues, signs and messages that advertise this question on a daily basis. You have a right to know this and don’t dare think its a one way ticket. Whose back do you have!?

They Watch from a Distance………………

20121203-224327.jpg

LOL.

Yea, its complicated and frustrating and interesting.

I think it has more to do with your level, your bread and popularity according to who knows you. It has absolutely nothing to do with talent.

So, they wait and watch from a distance. They are never too close where if you don’t make it, they can say that they had nothing to do with you, but they are not too far where if you do make it, they were with you all along.

I know that game, do you?

At some point in time or another, one may go through this. It literally is a watching game. A spectator game.

It is, what can you do for me and if the answer is nothing or it doesn’t have FREE up in there somewhere, its just a keep on walking and don’t say nothing. It looks appealing to look though.

I think it is more about just waiting to see what happens, how your life plays out. People want to see what they can get out of you.

So, here you are, busting your butt to accomplish something larger than life and the distance watchers watching from afar. If the signs are promising and become true, they want in on what you’re doing. They want a piece of the pie.

They are not or were not apart of your struggle, but yet they want to be apart of your success. They say things like, “Remember ME when you get there.” “Don’t forget about ME when you get to the top.” “Don’t forget about the little people.”

They put their 2 cents in to try and secure a place with you right before you make it. And still, they watch from a distance. They don’t want to support or help the cause and/or dream, but they want to enjoy the fruits of someone else’s hard working labor.

And the crazy thing is, is that those who do this, would be in denial. No one wants to believe that this type of person being described would be them. They would not claim this description, even though they may shake their head in agreement while reading this.

It literally is funny how that works. I have seen it. Watchers won’t reveal themselves to you. They are too smooth for that. They ease drop and every 2 or 3 months they either call you or stop by to chat with you on FB or Twitter to see if you made it yet. But they don’t just flat out ask you that question. Its indirect.

If it has happened to you, you understand where I’m coming from and understand what I’m talking about. I’ve peeped that sorry game, but one thing I can definitely say about those who watch from a distance, is you learn about what is to come, you learn about who people really are, you learn about who is really on your side and who wants to see you succeed, you learn about how they see you and some see you as a foot stool.

Its nothing to be mad about. You can’t do anything about that, but you can be more aware of whats going on and pay attention to what people are saying and implying through casual conversation. You can be more observant to your surroundings and be street smart.

Watching from a distance is a safe zone for some people. They don’t want to be embarrassed or ashamed that they were seen with you or at one point in time, they were supporting you. They are concerned about whose watching them. They are afraid to be affiliated with an idea if it goes south.

I speak this from experience. I’m not just making this stuff up. I don’t write or speak just to hear myself talk. If I did, I wouldn’t like myself, but since I do like myself, I speak and write with purpose and reason. Somebody out there may not be aware of those who just watch.

There are watchers at all kinds of different levels, but you always have the traditional watchers, in which I described above. Those watchers never change. Stay on the look out, especially when you are a person who dreams BIG and that dream starts out as a concept that you believe in!
